Thoughts: I purchased this product because it came in a promo pack with a dry shampoo I wanted to buy. My hair is straight, so the only time I use hair gel is when I braid it after a night time shower to create waves when I take the braids out in the morning.
The Encore Hold Gel was super sticky and thick, which made it really hard to braid my hair. The next day I liked the way my waves looked and my hair was no longer sticky, but to the touch, my waves were more crunchy than soft and flowy. The gel held my waves in all day, so Got2b lived up to their claim that the gel lasts from morning til night, but it was a pain to shampoo out of my hair at the end of the day- I had to shampoo twice to get it all out!
Verdict: Encore hold gel isn’t for hair styles that should move; it’s more for mega curls or punk rock spikes that need to beat the wind and rain.
