Thoughts: Boi-ing! That’s what my eyes do once I get this concealer around them- they pop out! I was previously using a L’Oreal stick concealer, which was doing the trick, but I did find it was a little dry. On days when my skin was dry, it definitely didn’t help the situation, so I felt it was time to scope out a new concealer to get me through the rest of the winter.
When I arrived at the drug store, I was not planning to spend this much on a concealer, but it did catch my eye when I walked in (maybe it was love at first sight?). I browsed at the medium priced concealers, tested a few out, but nothing did the trick like the benefit concealer (which of course, I had to try out ‘just to compare’). I conveniently had some Shoppers Drug Mart Optimum points saved up that I put towards the purchase, so I felt better about my splurge. Now that I know how great it is, I won’t feel bad about paying full price when it’s time for a new one.
It only comes in two colors: 01 and 02 (01 being the lighter of the two), but they say your concealer should be a shade or two lighter than your skin tone, so it should cover most people who are fair to tanned skin.
This concealer is the perfect combination of dry vs. wet concealer. It’s in a pot (so use your finger to apply) and it glides on really smooth- almost like the consistancy of a makeup primer. Although it does take a layer or two to hide really dark circles; overall, it gives a perfectly smooth seamless finish that lasts most of the day and it doesn’t get cakey.
The Verdict? It’s worth the extra money for a concealer that gives such a silky smooth finish. I actually enjoy putting it on!
